Well we all survived the blizzard; in fact, most of the snow was melted the next day! That's the Front Range for you :) I bet there is still quite a bit of snow in Summit County though, I don't think its really stopped much since last week. How are you all doing up there Rachel?
So now my crafts and home projects are going beyond my sewing desk. The Boutique in Longmont sent out a mass email to all the artisans that sell items in the store, asking for some of us to teach "how to classes" to anyone interested. I emailed them to offer a class for "how to turn your old jeans into your favorite skirt." They loved the idea and set it up! So I will be teaching my own class on April 22 from 6-8pm. They are also going to pay me for my time plus the cost of materials! Not to mention I also get the chance to showcase my products. Here is a link to the site advertising the classes:
Handmade Classes
I sent her a picture of the type of skirt we will be making, but she hasn't gotten it up yet. So here are a few pics of the skirt and other projects, and of course the kids! You have to click on the picture to see it without the opacity. I might change my template (again) because of that...
I am really happy with the way this headband turned out. I added some decorative zig zag stitching which I think added character to an already "beyond cute" fabric!

I love, love, love the fabric on the headband! I don't wear headbands, Steffie. Maybe I should give it a go? What do you think? Cute skirt, too. And I guess the kids are all right, also. Love you.
I love the skirt!! I don't have any jeans, but I might just have to find a pair at Goodwill so I can make a skirt too. Will you teach me when I am there in June? Plus I love the headbands! When you get here for vacation, I have an entire monster fabric cabinet FULL of fabric. All kinds, all colors, ALL COTTON! How would you like to go through it and pick out 40 or 50 different ones to take home with you? ;) I have PLENTY!
P.S. LOVE the new blog template - it is easier to read!
Your new template looks nice! Only one thing is odd to me. Why is there only one flower in the whole picture. I don't know about you but I think someone planted it right there, in the way of the picture. :)
It's still snowing up here! Most of that first blizzard melted off the next day up here as well...but we've had 2 storms since then. It's snowing pretty good this morning as well. The ski resorts are loving it. I don't mind it either, they keep the roads pretty well cleared. Did you guys even get to go sledding?? It will be a while before Jacob can discover dirt up here, but we've still got the sled out. Cute skirt, by the way, congrats on the class! That sounds like a great opportunity.
Okay, I demand a picture of the new cute haircut that I have been hearing about! When you have time, of course, LOL. Also, did you notice that Jonna is following your blog now Steph? Hi Jonna!! We miss you!!
